Change to Out Of Hours

Up to now, Avenue Veterinary Centre has always provided an out-of-hours emergency service. To provide this service our vets share a rota to provide cover for nights, weekends and bank holidays during the year. This care and service is provided in addition to working a normal full-time working week.

Unfortunately, over the past two years, we have seen increased pressures within our profession, which has led to shortages of veterinary staff both within our practice and other practices across the UK. As a result of this, we will sadly have to discontinue our out-of-hours service from Monday 27^th June 2022.

We fully appreciate the convenience of having this service in Grantham and will very much regret having to discontinue the service. South Lincs Sutterton Veterinary Hospital will look after the out-of-hours between 7pm-8.30am weekdays and from 3pm Saturday until 8.30am Monday. This service has specially trained vets and nurses in emergency and critical care and is on-site all night.
