Richard qualified at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1980,and came to work in Grantham as his first job for Oliver and Jenkins in Avenue Road. He became a partner in the newly created Avenue Veterinary Centre in 1985, when most of his work involved farm animals and some pets. He has always had a keen interest in veterinary orthopaedics and he is Vice Chairman of the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association. As well as carrying out surgery on our own clients' animals, we also provide an experienced service for other local vets.
Richard lives in Bottesford with Helena, their two sons, their pointer cross dog “Paddy” and a wonky-eared rabbit. When not working, Richard most enjoys spending time with the family but in his earlier days, his passions lay in mountains and travel.
