Here at Avenue Vets we have a team of registered veterinary nurses and animal nursing assistants who care for your pets when visiting us either for a routine operation or if they are unwell. They all have pets of their own and understand that pets are part of the family.

Kelly started training as a veterinary nurse in 2007 and qualified in 2009. She has been working here at the Avenue Veterinary Centre since January 2010 and is now the head nurse. She enjoys all aspects of the job but especially enjoys running the practice's puppy parties, Facebook page and website. She also has a special interest in orthopaedic nursing and wound management.
Kelly has 2 rescue Lurchers and a son, Jake.
Clare has been with the practice for over 20 years. Not only is Clare a small animal nursing assistant, she also assists the vets with Equine and large animal procedures.
Clare has a border terrier called 'Bryan' who was born here at Avenue Veterinary Centre, and a horse called 'Bob'. Clare and Bob enjoy days with the Bloodhounds and cross-country.
Sonya started training as a veterinary nurse in 2007 and qualified in 2009. She particularly enjoys nursing inpatients, radiography and nurse clinics, especially obesity and weight management. Sonya also has a degree in animal science and behaviour. She has 3 Border Collies called Flash, Henry and Darwin with whom she trains and competes in agility at weekends.
Natasha has worked with us at AVC since 2014 as a small animal nursing assistant. She particularly enjoys looking after the in patients and rabbit handling. Natasha has 4 of her own rabbits at home,4 cats and a daughter, Olivia.
Nikki has been working with us as an animal nursing assistant since November 2015 and has fitted into the team brilliantly.
She loves all animals and has a number of pets at home including dogs, cats and horses.
Rosie studied animal management at college and is now in her final year of university studying veterinary nursing. Whilst here on placement Rosie especially enjoys anaesthesia and helping to run the nurse clinics and puppy parties.
In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and she has three cats called Freddie,Delilah and Harley.
